Bayview Retirement Community (11 W. Aloha St.; www.bayviewcommunity.org), a not-for-profit continuing-care retirement community, invites seniors age 55 and older to the grand opening of The Hub at Bayview. It will take place Monday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will include refreshments and live music by lute player Mary Lord.

Hub members will be able to participate in a variety of programming offered exclusively for them. Membership is free, though at-will donations for coffee are welcome.

The Hub will open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 10 a.m. to noon.

The Hub is located on the south side of Bayview, facing Queen Anne Driveway. It is one block north of Roy Street, off Queen Anne Avenue. Parking is available in Bayview’s garage.
