Professional actor and Ballard High School (BHS) parent Alan Barlow hopes to start a new tradition with his one-person performance of “A Christmas Carol,” on Friday, Dec. 20, and Saturday, Dec. 21, at 7:30 p.m.
Barlow, an actor, singer and “stage combatant” who has worked in more than 30 plays and musicals and dozens of videos and TV commercials, adapted Charles Dickens’ classic himself.
“Considering how much my daughters have gotten from the performing arts program at Ballard High, it’s only right that I give something back,” he said.
The play will take place at BHS’ Earl Kelly Performing Arts Center (1418 N.W. 65th St.).
Ticket proceeds benefit BHS’ drama program.
