Middle school students are invited to join the Center of the Universe Art & Architecture Design Studio, presented by Magnolia-based Roosterwax. This five-session program will take place on Wednesdays, from 1 to 3:30 p.m., starting June 25 through July 23, at the Fremont Library (731 N. 35th St.).

The program will begin with a tour of Fremont to examine how art is incorporated into buildings and the neighborhood. Students will then participate in design studios in which they will choose a building or a section of Fremont to design an architectural project that incorporates art. At the conclusion of the program, all participants will present their design concept to the community.

The Center of the Universe Art & Architecture Design Studio event is free, and all materials will be provided. Advance registration is required via www.roosterwax.com; enrollment is limited to 25 participants.

This event is funded in part by a Neighborhood Matching Fund award from the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods.
