Ballard High School Playmakers will present their spring play, Anthony Clarvoe’s “The Living.”

Set in 1665 London as the bubonic plague sweeps the city, claiming more than 100,000 lives, “The Living” is a confirmation of life. The two-act parable (in which the reactions of the people and the government parallel those surrounding today’s HIV and Ebola epidemics) is the story of a few brave people who stood fast, doing what needed to be done.

The shows will take place at Ballard High School (1418 N.W. 65th St.) in the Earl Kelly Auditorium on Thursday, May 8, and Friday, May 9, and May 15 through 17. All shows will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are available at the door or at www.showtix4u.com.
