The Queen Anne Book Co. (1811 Queen Anne Ave. N.) has announced some of its readings for April.
On April 3, Seattle Country Day School teacher and author Brian Crawford will read, sign and present a slideshow about his middle-reader novel about Rwanda, titled “The Weaver’s Scar.”
On April 8, award-winning poet and Washington State Book Award finalist Martha Silano will read from her new collection, “Reckless Lovely.” Her poems have appeared in more than a dozen anthologies, including “The Best American Poetry 2009.”
On April 10, Kari Aguila will read and sign her “Women’s Work,” about a dystopian world in the Pacific Northwest where women struggle to survive through sustenance farming, clever engineering and a deeply rooted sisterhood.
On April 24, Janee Pennington will read and sign copies of her new novel, “Meeting Eve,” a globetrotting, romantic adventure about an event planner planning the event of her life.
