On May 3, cyclists will pedal from Magnolia to West Seattle and back to raise awareness and funds for the Kathi Goertzen Foundation’s fight against brain tumors. The 28-mile “Pedal it Forward” is open to cyclists of all levels for a $25 donation.
“Pedal it Forward” will start and finish at the Magnolia United Church of Christ,
(3555 W. McGraw St.) Check-in at 8:30 a.m. for an 8:45 a.m. start.
Riders and their sponsors are invited to a post-ride celebration emceed by KOMO-TV’s Dan Lewis.

Kathi Goertzen, KOMO News anchor of 30 years, was a longtime resident of both Queen Anne and Magnolia. She suffered an aggressive, atypical meningioma brain tumor. She started the foundation (3213 W. Wheeler St., Box 157) to support research for brain tumors and brain cancer.
