Next week, a private contractor will begin repairing the slope where Perkins Lane West meets West Raye Street in Magnolia. The crews expect the work will be completed in approximately three months.
During the first month, they plan to work mostly at the base of the slope and along the east side of Perkins Lane and Raye Street. For the first week to 10 days, they will excavate and drill, resulting in some delays to vehicular traffic.
After the drilling is completed, they expect only a few intermittent days, during concrete pours, when traffic may be significantly impacted. At these times, the contractor will direct traffic exiting Perkins Lane to use the exits to the north of Raye Street.
The contractor asks residents to call Les Treal at (206) 948-5423 to report any critical concerns or special circumstances.
