Mayor Ed Murray will help celebrate National Farmers Market Week with a visit to the Queen Anne Farmers Market today (Aug. 7).
Murray will tour the market to meet the Washington farm and artisan food vendors, and he’ll also speak with customers at the Community Table, starting at 5 p.m.
Other events at the farmers market today include:
•Recipe cards and samples of a summer beet salad and a kid-friendly fruit fizz, at 4 p.m.
•A concert by PK Dwyer, the Pike Place Market’s first busker, from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
The Queen Anne Farmers Market is open Thursdays, from 3 to 7:30 p.m., through Oct. 16 at Queen Anne Avenue North and West Crockett Street.
