Appeals are made to the Office of the Hearing Examiner, Seattle Municipal Tower, 40th Floor (SMT-40-00), 700 Fifth Ave., Suite 4000, Seattle, WA 98104. Appeals must be accompanied by a $50 filing fee in a check payable to the City of Seattle.

Permit applications

2214 W. EMERSON ST. (3017020) for a Land Use Application to subdivide one development site into three unit lots. The construction of residential units is under Project No. 6329528. This subdivision of property is only for the purpose of allowing sale or lease of the unit lots. Development standards will be applied to the original parcel and not to each of the new unit lots. Environmental review conducted under Project No. 3015214. The following approval is required: Unit Lot Subdivision to create three unit lots. Water Availability Certificate may be needed but was not included in this application. Written comments accepted through April 30.

Permit decisions

3247 21ST AVE. W. (3016559) on a Land Use Application to subdivide one development site into four unit lots. The construction of residential units has been approved under Project No. 6383637. This subdivision of property is only for the purpose of allowing sale or lease of the unit lots. Development standards will be applied to the original parcel and not to each of the new unit lots. The following appealable decision has been made based on submitted plans: Short Subdivision to create four unit lots conditionally granted. The hearing examiner must receive appeals of this decision no later than April 28.

Design reviews

101 JOHN ST. (3010551) of a Land Use Application to allow a new six-story structure containing 20 residential units above retail. Existing five-story multifamily structure to remain (Fiona Apartments). All other existing structures to be demolished. No proposed parking. Project includes grading. 

The meeting will take place May 7 at Queen Anne Community Center (1901 First Ave. W.), in Room 1. 

An application for Design Review related to future development of this site has been submitted to the DPD. This second stage of Design Review is the Recommendation phase. At the Design Review Board Recommendation meeting, the following occurs: 

•The applicant will present information about the proposed design and how
 it responds to the Design Review Guideline priorities established at the previous Early Design Guidance (EDG) meeting(s).

•The public may offer comments regarding the proposed design

•The Design Review Board will offer their recommendations regarding the design to
 DPD.

•Following the meeting, DPD will issue a written Recommendation report summarizing
 the meeting. This report will be sent to those who signed in at the meeting or
 otherwise requested.

The DPD director will accept written comments to assist in the preparation of the EDG through May 7. Comments regarding important site planning and design issues for this project are welcome.
