The Center School’s Jazzy Ducay won $100 after placing third in the fourth-annual Seattle August Wilson Monologue Competition finals.

Each of the 10 participating students performed a three-minute monologue from one of August Wilson’s plays to compete for cash prizes ($500, $250 and $100) and a trip to New York City to participate in the National Finals on Broadway at the August Wilson Theatre in May 2014.

Ducay performed “Becker” from “Jitney.”

The Seattle competition took place at the Seattle Repertory Theatre’s Leo K. Theatre at Seattle Center.
