When Magnolia homeowner Clay Newlin decided to create a clean and modern look for his recently purchased home on 25th Avenue West, he turned to a college-run business for his exterior house painting. He chose College Pro Painters, a business managed and crewed by college students.
Trey Cranney, a junior in the business school at Gonzaga University, painted last summer and, through a rigorous selection process, was chosen to lead the College Pro Painters franchise in Queen Anne and Magnolia.
Cranney is learning hands-on, the ins-and-outs and ups-and-downs of running a small business, with intensive training provided by College Pro Painters.
“It’s rewarding to take what I am learning in my business classes and apply that to helping homeowners have a high-quality paint job and experience,” Cranney said.
