Lifelong Queen Anne resident Rachel Lether, who attended St. Anne’s School on Queen Anne and is currently a senior at Seattle Preparatory School, has signed an official Letter of Intent as a coxswain with University of California, Berkeley. 

She currently rows at the Pocock Rowing Center in Montlake. She has been a coxswain for the last four years, of which she made the varsity squad the last three.

Lether also was part of the Women’s Junior 8+ that placed first at the Head of the Lake Regatta on Lake Union and Lake Washington earlier in November, and she was part of the Women's Junior 8+ that finished 11th at the U.S. Rowing Youth Nationals on Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge, Tenn., in June.
